So some of y’all who’ve been following my blog and my updates on my twitter accout @itsphizzle would obviously remember my South African trip. Well here’s the final product of it all.
I went on a tv production internship with Catapult Commercials SA, a 3-4 week shoot for Cadbury which involved sky diving, helicopters, real life ostriches, animatronics and all the hollywood works. Please enjoy, and leave ur comment.
Director: Peter Truckel
Executive Producer: Glen Bossman for Catapult Commercials
Meet this dude at a corner beer parlour in Isolo called ‘Parliament’, bet peeps from that hood kno where i’m talking about. Anyways dude just went off on some crooner type freestyles, mad interesting street content and very unique dilevery. Told dude to send me anything he got recorded and imma put it up on ma blog for him. I hurd a whole lotta crazy stuff that even…this is not even near dude’s potential but enjoy.
So I’m in my city, IB city…a little bored out of my mind for about a week. I woke up one Saturday morning, called my boy DayBaller of 23rd productions, dude’s an upcoming South African trained film maker…said to him “dude i wanna shoot a video. I’ll direct, u’ll be cameraman…and u edit!” He’s like “lets go …lets call people, get all the other equipment” and i said nope! Its gonna be me, u, a camera, and an uncompleted roof top. So here it is….DIAMONDS enjoy!
yeah…i definitely like this one. a bit more photography, less graphic designing…lotta branding and packaging. This should certainly appeal to my photographer friends.
Here’s a song i recently bumped into. Created by a group of high school kids called Code Z. There’s definitely something fresh about their style of music that I like…raw passion maybe? Enjoy!!!
I’ve stated my point about liking Akin Alabi as a music video director. I’m steadily turning into a big fan due to the way he and team 9ice have been able to visually communicate the brand 9ice everybody loves.
