I had started to write a long epistle on the qualities of this video, especially qualities of the director Akin Alabi, but I deleted it. I’ve never met him, but been keeping track of his projects, for selfish purposes maybe. I’ve learnt a little about his style, and I must say I really do like it. But most interestingly is how in this Gbamu Gbamu video, I think he has done a very good job of not only selling the ready-made hit, this is the first time a music video has been able to successfully communicate the brand 9ice.
