After Kicking off on a humble note in the city of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria, Cyclo-flo’ is steadily becoming one of the biggest stars in the Nigerian music history. Born Temisan Sagay, the first of three children, Cyclo-flo’ grew up in an environment characterised by the daily struggle to overcome material insufficiency, a trait consistent with such a struggling working-class family.
After being recognized by peers in his immediate environment, it took no time for his career to blossom. His first commercial release longtime rap fans may remember was in 2001 and titled “COME WITH ME” while in a Hip Hop group “C-FLO’ & DARLO”. Though it wasn’t a huge seller, “COME WITH ME” confirmed Cyclo-flo’s status as one of the most promising lyricists in years, particularly in the manner the MC cleverly brought to light the ups and downs of growing up in Nigeria.
Shortly after his group dissolved, Cyclo-flo’ continued to appear on several underground mix tapes, using the opportunity to perfect his craft on the mic, perfect his production skills, deeply study the music scene, and gradually make a name for himself throughout Nigeria, and after two years, he decided to take his solo career seriously. In 2003 he released his first solo album,”THA CONCISION” on his independent label, Temiflo Entertainment in which he also produced all the tracks in the album. “THA CONCISION” sold impressively in Nigeria, where Cyclo-flo’ was already well known and respected. This feat gradually led him to feature in large-scale, high profile concerts in different States alongside more established artistes.
In 2004 however, there was a deeply sad occurence in Cyclo-flo’s personal life. On the 2nd of August, he lost his Dad and the world seemed to crumble before his eyes. Three weeks later, he hit the studio and released the single “THIS MY LIFE” which was a tribute to his Dad. This single quickly gained massive promotion within and outside Nigeria and earned him two awards in Edo State - “Artiste of the Year”, and “Most Amazing Segment” Awards. During this period, he also launched his commercial music production outfit in Benin City, producing songs for Benin - based artistes such as Don P and Neo.
He is a member of the prestigous Audio Engineering Society, and being one of the most relentless and consistent artistes in the Nigerian music industry, Cyclo-flo’ continued to record, produce and perform in a manner impressive to most of his other counterparts, and from then till now, he has also produced two Nigerian Movie Original Soundtracks and presently working on a third.
After graduating from the University of Benin in 2005, Cyclo-flo’ started production for his yet most personal and diverse album titled “NO TIME” still under his independent label, Temiflo Entertainment and New-York based Management, Jton Productions which was completed in 2007 with joint production and mixes by New-York based, Certified Hitz Entertainment CEO, Nelson “Nelrotic” Padilla. The first single from the album titled “MOBIYE” enjoyed massive airplay and promotion in Nigeria, Parts of Africa and the United States. Presently, he is out with his highly anticipated single titled “CENTRE”, the first from the upcoming album H2E.
The album, whose release has been pushed to a latter date due to reports on song leaks from the album, has been tagged by his label and management as his most personal so far. This new classic package is set to open the eyes of music fans to see what lies beneath the minds of our country, people, and our own minds. It comprises of tracks with different constructive views and messages ranging from, club, to conscious and Gospel tracks. “H2E” is the album to look out for as it’s first single is causing fans to dub him the hottest rapper in Naija Hip Hop music.

I thought of the avenue to make this a little bit up on the wider reach of people. You came to my mind becos i can understand how you relate with ibadan. So if you can listen to this and see if you can post on sturvs or similar websites where this guy can be appreciated.
